Bishop Mitchell S. Ford was born in Jesup, Georgia and graduated from Wayne County High School in 1976. To further his education, he attended Waycross Ware Tech for consumer electronics. He moved to Riverhead, New York. There he enlisted in the United States Navy for six years after serving seven years as a reservist for a total of thirteen years. In 1989, he met and married his wonderful wife Pastor DianeJohnson Ford whom he really loves. In 1993 Bishop Ford accepted the call as Pastor. He worked for Fairfax County Government for 5 years. He presently is employed as a Telecommunication Supervisor for Potomac Electric Power Company in Washington, DC.
Bishop Ford experienced the new birth on March 3, 1981 and has been walking in his new regenerated life as a Christian soldier. He came up through the spiritual levels in his Christian experience as a Junior Deacon, Deacon, Minister, Assistant Pastor, Pastor, Bishop and now Overseer. His christian education has been first and foremost. Three years of comprehensive study of the Bible at Mt. Calvary Bible Institute, Washington, DC, and graduated from Faith Bible College and Seminarywith a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry. He is currently in Training in Higher Education for Leadership Development for Pastors, Clergy and Leaders. The Holy Spirit the Lord has divinely ordered him to build Pastor’s Partnering Together Training Leaders in Leadership (PPTTLL). In 2011 he receive certificate of completion from The Joint College of Bishops’ Congress with Beulah Heights University, Cleveland, OH. He is the Overseer of Citadel Worship Assembly, located in Dumfries, Virginia.
As Overseer Bishop Ford continue to reach toward God’s vision of purpose. On September 2008 he joined in with Emmanuel ChristianCenter Ministries Fellowship, Ruckersville, VA, under the leadership of Bishop Michael V. Jackson, Sr., Presiding Prelate. Bishop Mitchell S. Ford and Citadel Worship Assembly currently is in Spiritual Covering Partnership with Seven Seeds Ministry Church, Inc., Pastor Dr. Linda Gilchrist-Canadiate,Woodbridge, VA, Fountain Gate Chapel, Pastor Alex Fredua-Agyemang, Dumfries, VA, Spirit of the Living Christ Ministry, Pastor Sharon Fernandez, Woodbridge, VA and Kingdom Outreach Ministries International, Pastor Timothy D. Lucas, Dumfries, VA.
The Lord blossom him into a man after God’s own heart. He has proven himself to be a man of integrity, humble, uncompromising in the teaching of God’s Word and committed to lift up a standard in righteousness. Overseer Ford flows in apostolic succession exemplifying Kingdom order, excellence and desire that all the Lord’s promises will abundantly be showered upon others.
God’s sovereign will is to build His house, we will continue to give all glory to the Lord.
