Minister Sonia R. Collins was born on September 8, 1968. She is the youngest daughter of eight children. She is a loving and caring family woman, dedicated to her husband, Deacon Kenneth Collins, and their four children, Porsche’, Avonya, Nikita, Jasmine and two grandchildren, Kendrick and Najon. Minister Collins was called to the ministry in 1996 as a Missionary.
She started preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Connecticut. She Studied at Manhattan Bible Institute and Harvest School of Ministry, and then she was ordained as a Minister. From 1996 to 2004, she served as a Volunteer and held Service’s at the Juvenile Detention Correction Center, Nursing Homes and Hospitals. Her home church was Holy Trinity Apostolic Holiness in Bridgeport Connecticut.
She served the Lord as Pastor Aid Committee, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Outreach Coordinator, Usher and Youth Choir Director. God’s leading and confirmation from the support of her Bishop Ronald E. Riley, Sr. the Collins answered the call to relocate along with their family to Dumfries, Virginia. Minister Collins and family joined Citadel Worship Assembly where she continues serving as a Minister. She now serves at her new home as a Team Coordinator for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation in Woodbridge, VA, Sunday School Teacher, New Comers/Converts Teacher, Women Committee and Cleaning Ministry.
She continues serving as a Minister and Works faithfully in her calling and duties along aside her Pastor’s as Armour Bearer. “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.” Psalms 121:1-2
